ELEMENTS THAT ARE ELIMINATED

TO CREATE THE MOST FUNCTIONAL and FUTURISTIC URBANISM.

.               This will never happen in Ciudad Maravilla

.                                           Neither this

                                 HISTORY

How and when is Ciudad Maravilla born?

Year 1974 in the last course of the Architecture course at the U-ERRE Regiomontana University in Monterrey, Mexico. As a private project and out of class, and after developing a multi-storey parking lot in the classroom,, I was born with the idea of creating a prototype of urbanism that reduces accidents, human suffering, stress, loss of time in traffic jams, and I propose to solve it, innovating road solutions not yet conceived, in an integral way, to solve, combining, Functionality with Safety and with the use of Resources.

.             The result, after identifying the causes of accidents, I intend to generate a functional urbanism without the elements that lead to accidents, namely, crossings at the level, double meaning in avenues of medium and high speed, boulevards with gutters that destroy vehicles and trees and poles and other elements, in these boulevards and in other points, with proximity to the vehicles that provoke and magnify deadly accidents continuously.

.           The system of stop signs and traffic lights was also eliminated because they were not necessary in the Ciudad Maravilla project. I integrate new elements that provide greater security, such as emergency lanes on each side of the roadways, which also serve as lanes for integration and deceleration, making traffic flow more fluid and functional. I also add a strip on each side of 10 meters, flat grass, to leave the highway and avoid multiple accidents, known in Mexico, as «Carambola». And a strip of 30 meters on each side to generate forests and scenic landscaping.

Welcome to the most appropriate and friendly Urbanism, developed, considering the human being, as the most important axis of the project. To protect your life and well-being including your environment.
